Based close to Perugia, the capital of Umbria, Penny Radford’s projects have ranged from a contemporary townhouse to a fourteenth-century olive farm of 750 square metres with a hectare of gardens. Penny established her restoration company in 2002. Originally trained at Birmingham School of Art (now BIAD) she has assembled a team of sympathetic and efficient geometres (architect/surveyors), and skilled local craftsmen including joiners, stonemasons and blacksmiths, all adept at creating stylish and comfortable homes blending modern convenience with traditional materials. They combine experience in meeting the unique challenges of the rugged Umbrian landscape with the technical expertise necessary to comply with exacting Italian building regulations.
